Join us to celebrate publication of Daniel B. Schwartz's new book, Spinoza's Challenge to Jewish Thought: Writings on His Life, Philosophy, and Legacy. The book brings together a wide range of Jewish reactions to Spinoza, ranging from outraged condemnation to enthusiastic rehabilitation to a fundamental ambivalence over whether Spinoza was a heretic or a hero. Schwartz won the Salo Wittmeyer Baron Prize for the best first book in Jewish Studies and was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award.
