Religious Freedom and U.S Foreign Policy
We are delighted to welcome Samuel D. Brownback, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, to deliver a talk on "Religious Freedom and US foreign policy", celebrating the opening of the exhibit Enduring Ideals: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms at the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum.
Ambassador Brownback previously served as a U.S. Senator (1996-2011), member of the House of Representatives (1995-1996), and the Governor of Kansas (2011 to 2018). While a member of the Senate, he worked actively on the issue of religious freedom in multiple countries and was a key sponsor of the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998. This event is free and open to public but reservations are required. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
